4GL Solutions provided Brio.Enterprise consulting support to various user departments throughout Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. This included the following activities:
The creation of Web-based summary and detail financial reports were developed from the Lawson Financial System (HR, Payroll), the JAMIS System (grant and research fund project tracking system), and CASCADE Systems (hospital stay tracking system). 4GL provided a web-based application that allowed a power user to manage row level security for a series of reports from the JAMIS system. .
4GL created an ad hoc web-reporting environment which allowed end users the capability of building their own queries and reports from pre-determined data models and Meta topics.
4GL consultants upgraded Cedars from Brio 5.5 to Brio 6.1, and 6.2.3. This included converting and rewriting 55+ reports.
Customized applications using BrioQuery and JavaScript were built, allowing end user to dynamically query the database to see specialized data.
Provided customized training in the areas of Brio.Query, Customized Application Development utilizing Brio.Query, and basic data modeling.
Maintained and upgraded the Brio.Enterprise Servers including scaling up to a 4 server reporting system which enabled the client to maintain test and production environments.
Implemented an event based scheduling system on the Brio Broadcast Server in addition to the usual time based system that enables reports to be run after trigger events such as database refresh and also allows reports to be kicked off by the completion of a prior report on the Broadcast Server.
Implemented an automated job posting process which took the output of the Brio Broadcast Server and posted the reports in a series of complicated directory structures in the company's intranet using WinBatch.
Customized the OnDemand Server HTML pages to be representative of the company Intranet presence.
Implemented a Brio support system in addition to providing end user support performing as the role of a help desk. Also installed Brio on 100+ desktops.
